Salvador Garrido Marquez

Professional background

Founding partner at Garrido Licona y Asociados S.C., Salvador is an advisor, entrepreneur, opinion leader, with more than 30 years’ professional experience in tax and business consulting for both national and international companies, participating in projects that include restructures, solving of disputes and specialized tax and business consulting.

He is an advisor to Institutions of the Financial System and non-profit organizations, board member, statutory auditor and chairman of audit committees in different companies and regularly appears as an advisor in different media (Radioformula, Aire Libre, TV Azteca, among others).

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the Faculty of Accountancy and Administration of the UNAM, as well as having a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from the Pan-American University (IPADE) and a Diploma in International Taxation given by the Autonomous Institute of Mexico (ITAM) and Duke University.

Memberships or special positions:

Current member of the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants (IMCP), of the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives (IMEF), Vice-chairman of the Executive Committee of Fiscal Affairs of the Mexican Association of Financial Leasing, Credit and Factoring Companies (AMSOFAC), and the Mexican Association of Financial Factoring Companies (AMEFAC).

Additionally, he has been a professor in different universities, including the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Monterrey (ITESM), Mexico City Campus, as “Classroom leader”, a seminar in which different entrepreneurs and professionals share experiences; he also teaches diploma courses in fiscal, financial and business subjects.
